Sailing can be a very rewarding sport for the individual or family. Yes, all the family can become involved in sailing, be it on or off shore, it can be as little or as much involvement as you like. Sailing starts from 6 years of age upwards, it’s up to you to decide which days to sail and when to stop. TASC has produced numerous champions
at State, National and World level. There are opportunities to
meet many people as you have the choice to experience other sailing
club regatta’s, explore the various waters under a variety of weather
conditions, and travel to new places forming friendships that can last
forever. (Great excuse for holidays). We welcome land-lovers and sailors
with zero experience to those who are experienced, especially people
who are willing to share their knowledge and wisdom and a willingness
to broaden that knowledge. Remember; we can NEVER know it all.
Because TASC is an Amateur Club all day to day running of the club is
up to the members. TASC members are all volunteers
who are friendly, helpful and supportive of each other, no matter what
class of boat you want to sail, everyone is always welcome. All members are asked to attend
at least two working bees a year and offer assistance in an area that
suits your skills and interests whenever possible. This can be; manning
of the three rescue boats, maintenance to the sail boats and their accessories,
clubhouse maintenance, minimal fundraising, canteen rostering, BBQ’s,
etc. Our fleet is ever-changing and currently consists of;
